Andrea Dovizioso performed brilliantly in 2017 MotoGP with a runner-up championship. Dovizioso was aware of the expectations he faced in 2018 will be greater.
Dovizioso was a successful champion of the world championship last season. He forced Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez to fight the title until the last series, before finally lost and just finished runner up.
Not many predict the performance of Dovi can be so great in last season. After only winning two races in nine years, the Italian rider was able to reach six wins in 2017.
Dovizioso was aware of expectations will be greater in the 2018 season.
“Yes, of course, it will be different than last year, so it will not be easy, but it’s also for everyone,” said Dovi.
In 2018, the focus of Dovi certainly look slick since the inaugural series in Qatar. In addition to returning to compete for the title, it will be good for the discussion of his contract runs out 2019.
“Everyone has the same situation to face, because everything will sign a contract for the future and get results,” Dovi added.
“Because now we are talking about the results of last season, but if you start the season in a way that is not good, everything will change (in terms of your contract options).”
“That’s what I say I’m very focused on the tests and the first few races of the championship,” Dovi confirmed.
