Ducati continues to develop the Desmosedici for the 2018 MotoGP season. Two big things are promised: greater power and better ride.
Ducati launched the Desmosedici for the 2018 season at their base in Bologna, Monday (15/1/2018) evening local time. In view, this year Desmosedici appear with different nuances because it adds a gray color element.
Appearance Desmosedici 2018 is also more handsome with wide fairing, with winglet that has been developed since last season. In the performance sector, Ducati also promises significant changes.
Ducati’s General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna called his team developing a more powerful engine. In addition, the motorcycle chassis is also polished to overcome the troubling understeer problem last season, which makes Ducati slower in the middle of the bend.
But Dall’Igna on this occasion also stated that the final version of this year’s Desmosedici is likely to be seen in the second or third series.
“We have provided additional horsepower for our engine and I am sure the ride will be easier,” said Dall’Igna quoted Crash.
“You will not see the last model in Sepang, chances are we will keep you waiting until the second or third race, we will be careful in our tests and selectively selectively choose evolution and development,” he added.
